Whether I'm relaxing by the pool, enjoying a long lunch with friends, watching the sun set over the vineyards, or gathering around an outdoor dinner table, Rosé is almost always my wine of choice. Crisp, refreshing, food-friendly, and endlessly versatile, a great Rosé captures everything I love about Napa Valley living.
As the owner of 'Wine Me Away' and a lifelong wine country local, I've tasted more Rosés than I can count. BUT, these 5 bottles (and small family producers) have earned a permanent place in my summer rotation.
1. Hunter Glenn Rosé
If summer had a flavor, it might just taste like Hunter Glenn Rosé and their Rose' Brut Sparkling.
Summer sipper with flavors of strawberry and a hint of grapefruit..The Brut Rose' is simply delicious! The Rose' is a blend of Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Syrah showcases everything I love about a well-crafted Napa Valley Rosé. The team at Donum continues to impress, and their Rosé is no exception.
Made from the Dijon 115 Pinot Noir clone, this Rosé offers crisp fruit notes with a bright, refreshing finish that keeps you coming back for another sip. 4. Lily Fleur Rosé by Davis Estates
One of my absolute go-to Rosés every summer is Lily Fleur Rosé from Davis Estates.
Bright, playful, and full of personality, this wine bursts with juicy peach flavors and a hint of pineapple that perfectly captures the spirit of the season. It's refreshing without being overly sweet and has a lively character that makes it ideal for poolside afternoons, boating adventures, or simply unwinding after a long day.
